Key Client Features
There are a few client features that greatly enhance using the Data Library.
Hot List or Bookmarks
This lets you save a pointer to any page that you see, so that you can
later instantly jump to that page regardless of how convoluted a
path you traverse to get there originally.
Window History
Even without explicitly saving a bookmark, many viewers keep track of
the pages you have visited, and allow you to jump back to any page
that you have seen in this session.
Document Editing
While not true of this generation of clients, the clients of the
near future will allow users to gracefully create documents of
their own. This means any WWW document or graphic can be
trivially included in a users document, and a WWW server that
provides useful graphics can be tremendously useful. Even the
current generation can simplify creating documents.
