We are looking for a writer who will help with publishing endeavours such as on environment, history of technology, and memoirs. The ideal person shall be a perfectionist who cares about the craft of writing. The writer should be happy to be engaged with a multi-disciplinary team, work on one’s own and under guidance. This hire may either be both at the level of a professional or as an intern.

Essential competencies:

  • Publishing quality English language writing skills
  • Skills in writing, editing, and proof reading in English
  • Keen to learn new skills
  • Able to learn scientific, social scientific, historical or environmental topics quickly.   
  • Able to write compelling, logical, clear and concise content
  • IT and word-processing,
  • Able to customize writing to audiences
  • Organized with an ability to work to deadlines

Optional Competencies  

  • Training in English Language, Journalism or other related areas
  • Skills in English language, social sciences, history related topics 
  • Able to research topics as needed
  • Copyediting and layout skills
  • Competence in other languages

Bonus skills  

  • Experience with publishing software
  • Social Media skills
  • Competence in Graphics  and visual communication

The full time term assignment is to commence immediately. Appointments are under contract with extension based on performance.  Work will be in our offices in Akurana or Digana.
