Vacancy for Environmental Physics (Geophysical) Researcher / Research Writer
A person who is genuinely interested in a career in research in climate, environment, and Information and Communication Technology is sought for a non-profit scientific, engineering, and socio-economic research organization. The candidate should be a recently qualified graduate in physical sciences, engineering or information technology who is able to undertake climate and environmental diagnostics, modeling, and develop prediction. The researcher will carry out data analysis and modeling; oversees aspects of projects and undertake some field work.
The candidate must have:
- An understanding of the laws of nature - in the climate, hydrological or oceanographic sciences or in the fields underpinning them
- Record of publication in Journals in the Science Citation Index
- Strong mathematical, statistical and scientific programming skills
- An aptitude for research, motivation to work independently, and willingness to learn new subjects
- Skills to write up results in reports / scientific papers / books in English
- The ability to work cooperatively in a multidisciplinary team environment to realize the overall project goals
- Long-term goals for scientific, environmental and technological research
- Research experience, and knowing other languages shall be added advantages.
