Vacancy for a Non-Fiction Writer
The Foundation for Environment, Climate and Technology (FECT) is seeking recently qualified applicants to develop publishing projects related to Social Sciences, Climate, Environment, Water Resources, Infectious Diseases, Disaster Risk Management and Agriculture.
Essential competencies:
- Excellent English language writing skills
- Publishing quality editorial standards in English
- Established language styles for general and for science writing
- Ability to write compelling, logical, clear and concise content
- Factual accuracy and attention to detail
- Sound knowledge of IT and word-processing
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented and well organized
- Ability to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines
- Work with a multi-disciplinary team
Optional Competencies
- Bibliographic software
- Copy-editing and layout skills
- Competence in other languages
- The desire to learn, and the ability to learn quickly
Bonus skills
- Skills in environment, science or resources management related topics
- Experience with publishing software
- Social Media skills
- Competence in Graphics and visual communication
