We are looking for a writer who will help with publishing documents on Climate, Environment, Water Resources, Disaster Risk Management and Agriculture. The ideal person shall be a perfectionist who cares about the craft of writing. The person should be happy to be engaged with a multi-disciplinary team, and work under guidance.
Essential competencies:
- Publishing quality English language writing skills
- Skills in writing, editing, and proof reading in English
- Keen to learn new skills
- Able to learn scientific, social scientific, historical or environmental topics quickly
- Able to write compelling, logical, clear and concise content
- IT and word-processing,
- Able to customize writing to lay, technical and general audiences
- Organized with an ability to work to deadlines
Optional Competencies
- Skills in social sciences, environmental and science related topics
- Scientific or technical literacy
- Copyediting and layout skills
- Competence in other languages
Bonus skills
- Experience with publishing software
- Social Media skills
- Competence in Graphics and visual communication
The full time term assignment is to commence immediately. Appointments are under contract with extension based on performance. Work will be in our offices in Akurana or Digana.
